Why Obama Will Not Win Re-Election in 2012: A Presidential Failure Reference Guide

Since this will be a work in progress, if you remember any presidential flubs, blunders, or policy failures that I’ve missed, please include a link and leave them in the comments section.

Foreign Policy:

“I think the most significant aspect of the president’s approach to foreign and national security policy is that he basically doesn’t care about it,”-amb. John Bolton.

Top Ten Obama Apologies from the ’09 World Apology Tour. (It was almost 11 but the Japanese government thought it might not be a good idea for Obama to apologize for the bomb we dropped on Hiroshima, thanks Japan!)

Losing the Iraq War.

Waging political war on Israel to “promote peace with the Palestinians”.

Obama Administration signs onto a UN resolution in conjunction with the 56 state Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to criminalize “religious hate speech”, i.e. international blasphemy laws.

Abandoning America’s national interests and strengthening the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East because, “a failure to change our approach threatens a deepening spiral of division between the United States and Muslim communities.”

Opening dialogue and rewarding our enemies while undermining US allies.

Scuttling the planned missile defense systems in Europe to appease Russia.

Turning our back on the ’09 Iranian protesters so as not to anger the regime.

Pushing the severely flawed START Treaty and nuclear disarmament.

Continuing to engage the half-pint dictator in North Korea.

Throwing Mubarak to the Islamist horde and ushering in the “Arab Spring“.

Caving to pressure from China and derailing Taiwan’s order of F-16’s, maybe Taiwan should consider buying more of our debt…

Obama Administration officials would be “satisfied” with a Muslim Brotherhood election win in Egypt.

“The Obama administration is set to offer more concessions to the Russians on missile defense, the latest one a proposal to share secret technical data on the U.S. Military’s most effective anti-missile interceptor.”

Domestic Policy:

“On assuming office, President Obama assured us with a straight face, that his grossly irresponsible wastrel of a predecessor had taken the federal budget on an eight-year joyride. So the only way his sober, fiscally prudent successor could get things under control was to grab the throttle and crank it up to what Mel Brooks in Spaceballs (which seems the appropriate comparison) called “Ludicrous Speed.” Let’s head for the washed-out bridge, but at Obamacrous Speed!”-Mark Steyn, After America

One word; Obamacare.

The budget busting $800 billion stimulus bill that cost taxpayers a quarter million dollars a for every job “created or saved.”

In Obama’s vaunted green energy loan guarantee program, taxpayers lost $535 million to bankrupt solar company Solyndra, and gave $530 million to Fiskers to make cars in Finland, while another solar company tied to Nancy Pelosi got a grant of $740 million. So basically the $40 billion jobs program is a bust.

President Obama endorses the Ground Zero Mega-Mosque during a Ramadan dinner at the White House.

The Obama administration’s scandal known as “Fast and Furious” wherein ATF agents were told to let 2,000 guns be sold to straw-purchasers who then transported most of them across the border to Mexican drug cartels, two Americans and 200 Mexican citizens have been killed by these guns.

Nationalizing the student loan industry.

The Obama administration’s drilling moratorium and energy policies slowing down energy production in the U.S. leading to lost revenues and higher gas prices.

Awarding no-bid contracts to campaign donors in the pharmaceutical industry.

Delaying the decision to approve the Keystone XL pipeline until after the November 2012 elections, because not alienating his environmental leftist base is more important than creating thousands of private sector jobs.

The Gaffes:

“The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries.” -Obama in Tampa, Fla., Jan. 28, 2010

Top Ten Obama Gaffes.

Obamaisms– “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

And who can forget the moment that brought us the beer summit? “The Cambridge police acted stupidly.”

Our Commander-in-Chief has trouble pronouncing “corpsmen” … twice!

This gaffe however has quite a hefty price-tag, $1.5 billion to be exact. Maybe next time he could just take Michelle on a vacation to Las Vegas and keep his comments to himself.

Then there was the gift gaffe in which British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was presented with 25 movie DVD’s, this was after Obama returned the bust of Winston Churchill.

Round up of twitter reactions to the terror attacks in southern Israel

Thursday brought a horrific and highly coordinated terror attack against Israeli civilians in the southern region of Israel near the Egyptian border.  A total of 7 people were killed and more than 30 were wounded in the multi-pronged attack along a highway, the terrorists used a combination of guns, suicide vest and a rocket propelled grenade (RPG).  Timeline of the attacks on the Sinai border.

The attackers were chased by the IDF into the Sinai Peninsula where three Egyptians were killed in the crossfire.

“An Israeli plane had been chasing militant infiltrators along the border between Taba and Eliat and one Egyptian Central Security officer and two Central Security men were caught in the line of fire,” the army official said.

Needless to say when intelligence pointed to a group based in Gaza that had traveled through the Sinai to carry out the attacks, the retaliation from Israel the next day was swift and precise.  Israel kills PRC leadership in Gaza strike.

So not even 24 hours after the vicious attacks against Israel and already the pro-Palestinian, hate Israel first crowd is out and making their opinions heard.

This guy wants to protest Israel after Friday prayers, to be fair that really isn’t different than any other Friday in the Middle East…

This guy is taking his job as Palestinian cheerleader very seriously.

Here we learn the importance of having numbers on your side, from a brave mujahideen.

He might not be a master of english grammar but at least it’s pithy.

Here we have an example of some leftist deep-thinking.

You have to give it to this guy, at least he’s honest.

Despite the broken english, I really hope he meant to use a metaphor here…

This one started off with a short history of Islam and then threw in an obligatory “Death to Israel”.

This guy sure sticks to the propaganda even in the middle of a passionate rant.  Let’s just hope he doesn’t live up to his name.

This lovely Muslimah is talking about the kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit who has been held by Hamas for the last five years.  This little lady is exemplifying her prophet Muhammad who also considered captured Jews to be, at the best, bargaining chips.

Just a little justification, nothing to see here.

Yes! Take a stand against those evil Israelis who keep flinging themselves onto our bullets! Jerks!

Later in the day terrorists had started lobbing rockets into Israel from Gaza… It must be frustrating to have such bad aim, huh?

I don’t think he made this particular call to Allah dialing out to the “Great and Merciful” prayer line, but maybe that’s just me.

Everyone has to have a goal, I wonder if this is in her five year plan?

Yeah!  Israel you better not start nuthin‘!  And by “start nuthin” I mean you better not retaliate when we shoot you… or something.

I thought Egyptians were busy reveling in their new paradise of democracy, maybe they’re just bored now after all those fun protests are over.  Quick somebody start them on a hobby, like knitting or something.

Whew.  Well that was a horrifying walk through a morass of moral degradation, evil and hypocrisy.  I could hope that I won’t have to see tweets like this ever again but I know that’s not possible.  You might have noticed my twitter handle at the bottom of some of those tweets, if you would like to follow me or just check out my twitter timeline click here.

Washington Imam’s Moral Support for a Convicted Terrorist Fundraiser

It looks like I have a habit of stumbling across questionable characters while researching my current project.  It seems an Imam from Kent, Washington signed a petition on behalf of a man who, one would assume, most people would steer clear of.  The questionable character in this case being Dr. Sami Al-Arian who in May of 2006 plead guilty to “Conspiracy to make or receive contributions of funds, goods or services to or for the benefit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a Specially Designated Terrorist.”  He was sentenced to five years in prison including three years time served and deportation.  His case was followed closely by many different groups and received national attention as it happened in the year after 9/11, him being a tenured professor at the University of South Florida, as well as his high-profile background.  He was suspected of writing the manifesto of PIJ, he also founded the Islamic Committee for Palestine, and lobbied both political parties for abolishing the use of secret evidence in immigration cases during the 2000 presidential primaries.

Now fast forward to 2008 and a little online petition:

To the Honorable Michael Mukasey, Attorney General of the United States,

We, the undersigned, are writing to you with regards to Dr. Sami Al-Arian. We ask that you honor the plea bargain concluded between the government and Dr. Al-Arian, and allow him to be released as his prison term ended on April 11th, 2008. We also ask that you drop the two charges of contempt brought against Dr. Al-Arian on June 26th for his refusal to testify before a third grand jury on March 20th. Not only do the terms of the plea bargain concluded between Dr. Al-Arian and the government clearly stipulate that he shall not be obligated to testify at any other grand jury, but this was an obvious perjury trap, given that the prosecutor Gordon Kromberg has repeatedly made outrageously bigoted statements against Muslims, publicly supported the principle of punishing those who he finds guilty but who are acquitted in court, and indeed has successfully engineered the perjury conviction of another Muslim acquitted of terrorism charges who is now carrying out a ten-year sentence.

The continued prosecution of Dr. Al-Arian is clearly driven by political ends, just as his original trial was. We ask that you end this abuse of the justice system and allow Dr. Al-Arian to be deported.

Thank you for your time,

The arabic language petition I first noticed is here.  The “undersigned” number in at about 3,800.  Strangely enough the second person I searched the internet for happened to be from Kent, Washington an Imam named Husam Rabi of the Sheikh Abdul Kadir Idriss Mosque who serves their facility in Renton, Washington.

Imam Husam Rabi

Mr. Rabi is listed in at number 29 of the undersigned.

Husam Rabi, Kent

I personally find it disconcerting and a little disturbing that so many Muslims from my state would choose to put their names and reputations behind a man who is convicted of supporting a Palestinian jihad war against the Jews of Israel.  Though to be fair Dr. Al-Arain has also won support from such esteemed groups as the hard leftists at Democracy Now.  It is everyone’s right to sign a petition statement in support of whomsoever they wish, as it is my right to call them out for it.  I would have hoped for a more fair-minded man of learning to run a local mosque than someone with such a controversial stance, though you know that old saying, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
